1,200°F accelerometers

357D92 and 35793 accelerometers are designed with UHT-12 or ultra-high temperature 1,200°F (650°C), to solve engine manufacturers’ problem with pyroelectric noise from ceramic-based sensors.

UHT-12 technology allows accelerometers to be insensitive to temperature variations for test and vibration monitoring applications of gas turbines, turbochargers, exhaust systems test, and engine balancing.

Flow transmitter

The AS-FT flow transmitter uses a thermal dispersion technology (TDT) sensor design for mission-critical air, gas, and fluid monitoring systems on commercial and military aircraft.

TDT directly measures mass flow of air, gases, waters, or liquids, which saves cost, installation space, and weight. The flow sensors are dual-function, and temperature measurement of the fluid is readily available from the same sensor element.

  • Features
  • 100:1 turndown
  • Measures air from 0.25sfps to 1,000sfps
  • Measures fuel, hydraulic fluid, or coolant from 0.01sfps to 10sfps
  • Measures water and ethylene glycol (EGW) from 0.01sfps to 5sfps
  • Operates from -40°F to 250°F (-40°C to 121°C)
  • Proof pressure-tested up to 2,000psig
  • MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, & RTCA/DO-160 certifications

Solid state high power amplifiers

The RF amplifiers cover UHG, VHF, L, S, and C frequency bands employed in electronic warfare, instrumentation, military communications, radar, SATCOM, telecom, data links, and medical devices.

Solid state 50? hybrid MIC designs use GaN, GaAs, or LDMOS transistor technology that offers high dynamic range. All high power amplifiers in this product family have single voltage supplies that are internally regulated, and the circuits are enclosed in environmentally sealed metal packages that withstand humidity, altitude, shock, and vibration. Each module is designed with stainless steel SMA female connectors. Each solid state power amplifier is classified as EAR99.

Rugged, modular connector system

The Fortis Zd LRM connector system is for rugged packaging from avionics boxes to military ground vehicles.

The multi-bay shell accepts high-speed digital signal, power, radio-frequency (RF), and optical modules.

Interconnections are based on designs and technologies from TE products in mil-aero applications, including mini-box contact interface per MIL-DTL-55302. The modular design, with common bay size, makes the connector system easy to configure for specific applications and allows designers to position modules where required.

Spring-set holding brakes

This range of electrically-released, spring-set holding brakes are designed to offer the same performance capabilities of similarly sized permanent magnet solutions. The X-small brake range offers the same static torque capacity and are lighter than the competition.

Designed primarily for engaged/disengaged holding applications – such as seat adjustment on airplanes – X-small brakes can provide a low cycle rate stopping action in emergency situations. Electrically-released, they will remain engaged in the event of a power failure.

Features

  • 6 standard sizes 22mm – 33.5mm diameter (30g-100g)
  • 50Ncm static torque Custom adapter flange for mounting

Piezo drive

The Ensemble QDe is a desktop nano-positioning piezo drive that connects to any Ensemble controller network, enabling coordinated motion between piezo stages and servo axes at much higher rates than other controller or drive products.

The QDe provides processing power across a variety of applications including point-to-point motion, linear and circular interpolation, multi-axis error correction, and autofocusing. High-speed interrupts and data logging capabilities provide a real-time link to external systems. The QDe also features high-speed positioning latching capability and multi-axis position synchronized output (PSO) for generation of pulses based on actual position feedback in applications ranging from laser firing to acquisition system triggering.

Features

  • Controls up to 10 piezo-servomotor stages/axes
  • Multi-axis position synchronized output (PSO) for real-time event triggering
  • 20-bit resolution for capacitive sensor feedback
  • Learning control, harmonic cancellation, and command shaping improve tracking error and throughput

Drive electronics

The MCST 3601 series, equipped with a micro-controller and a driver, can regulate phase currents from 10mA to 1.1A. At the same time, it can be operated with a supply voltage that can vary between 9VDC and 36VDC. With a PC via USB 2.0, movements can be programmed using the available software. Ten inputs and outputs allow external variables to be taken into consideration. Since the controller is designed as a test electronics system, users can adopt the predefined architecture according to their requirements.

The MCST 3601 series can actuate stepper motors in micro-stepping mode. In this operating mode, up to 256 micro-steps can be programmed per full step. This allows the resolution of the controlled rotary or linear movement to increase and the vibrations caused by the motor to be reduced.

Features

  • Stepper motor controller mostly intended to be used as an evaluation board
  • Capability to drive the full range of PRECIstep stepper motors with selected range
  • Range must be selected manually through jumpers programmed with the TMCL-IDE software
  • USB communication makes the the controller fully programmable; inputs/outputs enable external interaction
  • Full step or micro-stepping up to 256 is managed by programming
  • Capability to read and treat an external input signal sent by a sensor or encoder
