Trak Mills and Lathes
Trak mills and lathes feature ProtoTRAK CNC technology, a powerful but easy-to-learn CNC conversational language that reduces time-consuming machine set-ups, enables lower skill-level machinists to do higher level work, and allows skilled machinists to get more done.
Trak bed mills for small lot milling feature a solid ram that moves along the column providing mass for heavy cuts; generous Z-axis CNC travel; handwheels for manual control; a choice of two or three-axis CNC operation; precision ground ball screws installed in the table, saddle and column; and wide way surfaces that are hardened and ground. Slideways are Turcite-coated.
RAK knee mills for small lot work have precision 7207 P4 spindle bearings; chrome ground quill; Meehanite castings; standard glass scale for quill Z readout; precision ground ballscrews installed in the table and saddle; hardened and ground wide way surfaces; Turcite-coated slide ways; and handwheels for manual control.
Trak SX lathes feature manual or CNC operation; electronic handwheels and jogstick; an inverter-duty spindle drive; programmable spindle speeds; and optional CSS programming, IPR programming, TRAKing for manual control of CNC programs, and Indexer for automatic tool changes.
