Initially developed for a leading footwear design institute for automatic 3D scanning of shoe soles, the DT-Series is a compact line of desktop 3D laser scanners for accurate and automatic scanning of medium-sized parts such as shoe soles, bottles, cups and statues. The system is designed to capture the complex geometry of shoe soles and other objects of similar size.
The system features a rotating SLP-2000 laser probe with a line length of 200 mm and a fixture mounted to a precision rotary stage that holds the shoe sole or other type of part. The SLP-2000 laser beam is swept from left to right over the part. Then the part is repositioned by the rotary stage and another scan pass is taken.
