Fairlane Products, a North American manufacturer and supplier of clamps, fixturing accessories, machine tool components, and rollers and bumpers, now offers full stainless steel quick release ball lock pins in both inch and metric sizes. Often referred to as nautical ball lock pins, these positive locking quick release pins have a wide range of applications in fastening, locating, and alignment applications. The pins will not release until the button on the handle is depressed. Once the button is depressed, the balls retract into the shank allowing the pin to be inserted or removed into or out of a hole.

The full stainless steel nautical ball lock quick release pins are available in a variety of lengths and diameters from 3/16" to 1/2" nominal diameter and 5mm to 16mm nominal diameter with shanks made from both 17-4 and 300 series stainless steel. The handles are made from 303 stainless steel.

Also complementing the company’s full stainless steel ball lock pins are spring-loaded pull pins that allow the user to quickly retract and engage the plunger for locating, fastening and quick-change operations. The housing of the pin is designed to be welded into place for strength. Pulling on the handle retracts the plunger fully into the housing of the pin. Also available are detent pins where the spring-loaded ball retracts when it is inserted or removed. Fairlane Products full stainless steel ball lock pins also come with useful accessories such as full stainless flanged receptacles, stainless end caps, and wire or rope lanyards.
