Fixtureworks a supplier of clamps, fixturing accessories, machine tool and material handling products, has bolstered its array of clamps, modular fixturing and set-up accessories by offering the stable and reliable Stablelock side and push clamps.

From an ergonomic, and for high-volume repetitive applications, the side clamp concept is comprised of a moving jaw that simultaneously travels forward and downward to securely lock workpieces in position. At the same time, the clamps’ design typically provides low profile gripping of the workpiece on the side and permits open accessibility to surfaces for machine tool paths and processing operations, completing multi-task work in single machine setups and fewer fixturing requirements.

The side clamp, identified as QLSCW, features a clamping mechanism that forces the jaw forward, providing a long stroke and firm clamping. The jaw also creates a downward force which prevents lifting of the part. Clamping action is engaged and disengaged by simply turning the handle. The clamping force is constant, and the handle has a "click" feel at the clamping end point, preventing workpiece damage due to overtightening. Indication lines on the handle and body align to clearly show when the clamp is locked or unlocked. This clamp mounts from the top with two mounting holes. The Fixtureworks side clamp features body length of 60mm, overall width of 86mm with thread M5 x0.80 and clamping force to 450 lb.

The space-saving push clamp variety, a type of side clamp and identified as QLPUW, is activated by an easy turn of the handle. By turning the handle, the balls are pushed out by the tapered surface, providing a rigid side push and fast accurate clamping. It features body length of 30.5mm, overall width of 52mm with thread M5 x 0.80 and clamping force of 180 lb.

All the side and push clamps are made from electroless nickel-plated 1045 steel while their handle is made from stainless steel.
