Officials at Richards Micro-Tool, a leading cutting-tool supplier for more than 50 years, has introduced “Q Ball”, a new line of 3-flute carbide end mills designed for use in metal-cutting applications. Q Ball’s new core and edge design features improved shearing ability while maintaining cutting-edge strength, resulting in a smoother entry and free-cutting action, as well as faster chip removal and improved finish. A new 3-flute center cutting, eccentric relief design allows for higher feed rates for most materials.
Richards’ Q Ball carbide end mills are available with a 1/4” shank diameter, with end mill diameters ranging from 1/32” to 1/4”. Specialty coatings are available.
