Optiv CMM Systems
Brown and Sharpe Optiv CMM systems deploy touch probe, vision and chromatic white light in unison. With one program and setup the company can quickly capture dimensions and geometry of a part utilizing the best medium for each given feature. All data can then be correlated into one output such as a CAD model or data spreadsheet. The added Chromatic White Light interferometry technology allows for scanning 3D shapes to <2 micron accuracy. This technology is best suited for highly reflective, transparent or delicate parts with no part surface preparation required. The Optiv systems are excellent for capturing complex, precise geometry in order to re-produce CAD for tooling components and microstructures.
