Monster H4538 vertical vises for EDM provide quick and positive clamping of one or two independent workpieces in the same setup, and reportedly deliver twice the holding strength of similar devices. The vises incorporate two separate clamping jaws that tighten by turning a central screw. Supporting spacers and jackscrews, as with toe-clamp devices, are unnecessary on H4538s.
Clamping-jaw height ranges are 2.36 to 3.74 in. and 3.15 to 4.53 in. Users achieve the latter clamping height by relocating the clamping jaws at a higher level. The jaws also invert for a clamping range of 0.79 to 2.36 in.
