Meggitt Sensing Systems, a Meggitt group division, has announced the expanded product line offering of its industry best-selling Endevco® model 8510B series of miniature, rugged, high-sensitivity piezoresistive pressure transducers, to include additional higher-g range models in support of an expanded range of critical applications.
Available in sensitivities of 200, 500 and 2,000 psig with a 300 mV full-scale output, higher range Endevco® model 8510B series pressure transducers offer the same rugged four-active arm strain bridge and silicon diaphragm design as low range series models, along with integral temperature compensation from -18°C to +93°C (0 to +200°F) for accuracy over the full temperature range and a non-linearity of less than 1% at 3X over-range. Units offer high resonance frequencies for accurate measurements over the full audio range, with five times minimum burst pressure and 20K g shock survivability. The Endevco® model 8510B series uses a 10-32 thread (optional metric threads available upon request) for mounting within space constrained environments and permits flush mounting on flat or contoured surfaces. A 30-inch integral cable is standard, with custom lengths available on request. For customer convenience, the model 8510B series comes standard with a vent tube, which can be vented to the ambient atmosphere or connected to a standard reference manifold.
Recommended for use with the Endevco® model 8510B series are the new model 126 three-channel DC signal conditioner, model 136 three-channel DC amplifier, model 4430A signal conditioner and the model 4990A (Oasis) multi-rack signal conditioner. With its ruggedness, accuracy, sensitivity and full scale output, higher range models within the Endevco® 8510B series may be used to support blast and ballistics testing, hydraulics systems pressure monitoring, chemical reactor pressure monitoring and automotive airbag and transmission testing. In addition, all Endevco® pressure transducers are offered with a comprehensive five-year product warranty, with select models available for immediate customer delivery under Meggitt’s Guaranteed InStock™ program.
