MAX3F-ER11 - Small, high precision drilling -- small investment

In this brand new machining unit Max 3F, Somex Corp. introduces the latest in small diameter, high precision drilling for the small part manufacturers. This unit machines up to 3 mm diameter, while the quill travel is limited to 40mm. The ability to run small diameter, carbide drills, at high speed is accomplished with a tightly fit quill, and stabilized cast iron body. The high precision angular contact bearings offer excellent performance for high production use. The pneumatic advance is hydraulic regulated, with infinitely variable feed control. The electric motor of 0.18 kW (.25HP) enables a spindle rotation speed from 1000 to 12,000 rev./min. Combined with an optional frequency converter, the spindle speed can reach 18,000 rev./min. In standard version, the spindle nose has the type ER11 with a maximum run-out of 0.01 mm. Two versions are available: one with the asynchronous motor (with AT3 timing belts and pulleys), the other one with a flexible shaft. The extremely slim design brings to the machine builders an uncomparable use of valuable space compared with other solutions. The Max 3F fits a wide range of production applications, in particular for drilling operations from 0.5 to 3 mm diameter. The users of this unit are notably in the manufacture of the electronic appliances (printed circuit), eyeglasses, Hifi, medical, gas appliances and valves, automotive fuel components, and other industries in the small devices. With its modest price, the simple MAX3F could be the best solution in a world of highly sophisticated spindles and machines. Web: http://www.somexcorp.com Phone: 888-SOMEXNA or 706.235.5593
