Laser System LICS-100AP

Optodyne Inc., the leader in laser measurement, calibration and compensation systems, today has announced a new turn-key and compact LICS-100AP for lead screw pitch error measurement and compensation.

It is a complete turn-key package, including a notebook PC using Windows 8 os and preloaded LDDM software.  The software capable of automatic data collection, data analysis based on ISO 230 and ASME B5 standards and generates pitch error compensation files for most controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens, Forgo, Heidenhain, Mitsubishi, etc.  The measurement range is 400” or 10 meters.  The laser stability is 0.1 ppm.  The measurement accuracy is 1 ppm and traceable to NIST.

The LICS-100AP is compact and fits into a small brief case.  With only 2 elements to be aligned, it is easy to setup and operation and a machine operator can learn to operate the laser system in a few hours.  It is ideal for calibrate and compensate the machine tool pitch errors.

Optodyne, a California corporation, develops, manufactures and markets laser-based precision measurement equipment for machine tool calibration, metrology, OEM, and other industrial applications that require precision measurement through a worldwide distribution network.  The basis of the company's products is the patented Laser Doppler Displacement Meter (LDDM) technology developed by Dr. Charles Wang, Ph.D.  Optodyne is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited, which requires a quality system similar to ISO 9000, plus testing and calibration equipment, as well as knowledgeable testing and calibration personnel.
