Kellenberger Kel-Vista grinding machines are reportedly an affordable alternative to hydraulically controlled machines. They do both CNC and manual machining for various lot sizes and prototype jobs.
Two machine versions are available - the R 175 with O.D. grinding wheel and the UR 175 with swiveling O.D./I.D. grinding wheelhead. With a manual Hirth coupling, the UR indexes for straight and angle plunge grinding in any 2.5° increment. It offers a 6.9-in. center height and 24 or 40 in. between centers. A swiveling workhead with thermally optimized bearings handles live/dead-center spindle and chucking applications.
