Fairlane Products, a manufacturer of a wide range of workholding and positioning components now offers an extension to its lineup of inch and metric industrial rubber bumpers. The bumpers are designed to guard, stop, align, and protect a machine or work piece during the manufacturing process. Close to three hundred new round bumpers have been recently added to the lineup.
The bumpers, in a variety of mounting options such as tapped, stud mount, hex shoulder and steel plate mounted, are offered in black neoprene, white nitrile, or colored urethane materials.
The extended product line falls into four main categories: Identified simply as large size with steel core, hex shoulder with steel core, small size with steel core, and crane stop types.
The large style with steel core round bumpers is available in diameter of 1.25" to 1.75" and 32mm to 57mm (1.625" and 57mm in length) in urethane and neoprene with tapped, or steel stud in 40,60, 80, and 95 durometer.
The hex shoulder with steel core is available in diameters of 0.5" to 1.25" and 19mm (0.625" and 16mm in length) in urethane and neoprene with tapped or steel stud in 60 and 95 durometers.
The smaller sized industrial round bumpers with steel core come in 0.75" and 19mm diameters (0.625" and 16mm in length) also in urethane and neoprene tapped with or without steel stud. They are available in 60 and 95 durometers.
The crane stop variety of round bumpers, with external stud mount bumpers, come in 1.0" to 4.0" diameters with up to 4" in length in urethane with 40 and 80 durometers.
The industrial round bumpers integrate well into an industrial application. They are most often used in material handling, assembly, and manufacturing operations to guide, stop, and support parts as they are moved and transferred. Fairlane Products maintains a large inventory of off-the-shelf product and are an economical alternative in many applications to eliminate the need for custom-engineered molded components.
