The Razorform Tools Broaching System for CNC lathes with locking spindle saves setup time by never having to remove the tool from the turret when changing out the insert, and increases efficiency with the TiN coated, double-sided, micrograin carbide inserts.
The TiN coated carbide insert lasts significantly longer than brazed carbide inserts or slivers of carbide. The tool design also allows for the insert to be removed and rotated or replaced while the tool remains locked in the turret, saving 10 to15 minutes of setup time re-zeroing the machine.
The interaction of the tool and the proprietary design of the insert and insert pocket, provide stability during the cut, reducing chatter and extending insert life dramatically. The removable carbide inserts mean one tool will last virtually forever, replacing only the inserts as you cut more parts.
