I-Drive

Micropump's innovative electromagnetic I-Drive delivers high performance in a very small package. The patented, compact design of the I-Drive IMS or IEG features a brushless DC motor and an electronic controller to provide outstanding functionality. This drive, in combination with Series GA or GJ pumpheads, delivers smooth, pulseless flow in standard or custom OEM configurations with flow rates to 5.0 L/min (1.32 gpm) and maximum differential pressures of 5.6 bar (80 psi) - ideal for many demanding medical applications.

I-Drive pump/drive configurations feature NdFeB magnets to increase motor torque capabilities while reducing total package size. Innovative surface mount technology improves reliability and enables higher efficiency motor performance. The unique design of the electromagnetic drive eliminates all moving parts to increase motor life. A variable speed electronic controller offers a 0-5 VDC input signal, a 4-20mA current loop or a manually controlled drive with thermal and overload protection. A closed loop speed control allows for quick and easy setting of speed, while the simplicity of the built-in speed control and tachometer output allows easy integration into PLC- or PC-controlled machines or end user installations.

The electromagnetic drive requires only static seals, which keep fluids securely inside the pump and potential contaminants out while providing reliable and accurate fluid delivery. An extensive range of FDA approvable material options ensures compatibility with a wide range of chemical and biological fluids. The I-Drive is CE, LVD and EMC approved; the enclosure is IP55 rated.
