The GVCM 032-076-02M (Metric version) linear voice coil servo motor from Moticont features a 63.5mm (2.50") stroke and a diameter of 31.8mm (1.250"). This motor features very high accuracy and repeatability when coupled with a linear encoder in a servo position loop. This low inertia motor, also referred to as an electric cylinder and moving coil motor, has high reliability, high speed, zero cogging, high acceleration/deceleration. This clean and quiet motor is for use in lab, cleanroom, assembly, sorting, and manufacturing applications. It’s a choice for: haptic feedback, pipetting, medical devices, laser machining and drilling, work holding and clamping, scanners, laser beam steering and filtering, optical focusing, dynamic vibration absorption, testing, sorting, and assembly.
This linear voice coil motor has a high force-to-size ratio of 8.0N (1.8 lb) continuous force and 25.3N (5.7 lb) of peak force at 10% duty cycle.
The internal M2.2X0.45 x 0.20 threaded 0.175 ±0.008mm (0.125 ± 0.0003") diameter shaft enables a zero-backlash connection to the load. Two M3.5x0.6 x 0.20 threaded mounting holes on 12.7mm (0.500") bolt circles on each end of the motor allow for easy integration into new and existing applications. The overall length of this compact linear actuator is 152.4mm (6.00") long and the shaft in the extended position extends 66.7mm (2.625") beyond the housing. The shaft guided by a plain bushing tolerates a side load up to 2.0N (7.2 oz.)
