As a full-helix-thread grinder, the GS:TE-LM
grinds threads, splines, key slots, rings, and
other part forms in single setups. It readily works
with the latest superabrasives, optimizes dressing
and grinding by monitoring acoustical emissions,
and automatically corrects wheel forms for
helical-path interference, and generates forms
using standard plated wheels. Features include
linear motors for maximum acceleration and
contouring, tenth-micron scale feedback, and
the companys Smart Spindle technology that
provides automatic balancing, touch dressing,
and part-feature locating.
