A new line of high-performance, solid carbide end mills is being introduced by Mitsubishi Carbide. Targeted for the die and mold industry but also appropriate for aerospace and medical applications, MStar Inch cutting diameters range from 0.0156 in. to 0.2500 in. and are available with 2 and 4 flutes, square or ball nose.
According to Mitsubishi, the exclusive MS coating offers users faster speed and feed rates by excelling in heat resistance and coating bond strength, making the MS coating harder and tougher.
Combined with a special micrograin carbide substrate, M-Star end mills achieve longer life at high tool speeds and feeds while creating an excellent surface finish. In addition, M-Star Inch is capable of machining materials like Inconel, Titanium alloys, and Stainless steels.
An eccentric grind lets the end mills maintain cutting edge integrity with proven reliability.
