MTC Conversion Components allow shops to use MTC inserts in their existing Manchester deep-grooving toolholders. Three components - a support blade, clamp, and stop - mount to square-shank and right-angle O.D.-grooving toolholders, creating mounting areas comparable to those of MTC integral-shank holders.
Usually, the MTC line of double-ended, double-V inserts, which includes four insert styles, fits into only the special integral-shank holders. MTC integrated systems perform cutoff, plunge and turning, and plunge and contour operations.
