BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling now offers chamfer rings for the 112 series small diameter boring tools for sequence chamfers on bore diameters of 12.6mm (.496 in.) to 31.7mm (1.248 in.). Existing tools can now be easily retrofitted to perform an additional fixed 45-degree chamfer in the same boring operation. The chamfer ring slides over the boring bar and is locked into place with a single screw. The rings are designed for 12mm and 0.625 in.diameter boring bars. The rings are made from aluminum, so tool balance is minimally affected. Standard VC inserts are available for steel, cast iron and aluminum operations.
