Monrovia, California – Amada Miyachi America Inc.’s UB29A Linear DC Micro Welder is an addition to the existing product line that provides a larger current range, greater control, and markedly faster rise time for micro-miniature resistance welding. Featuring closed-loop feedback, fast response times, and a controlled precise energy waveform, the new UB29A is suitable for safety-critical applications in the medical, aerospace, precision electronics, battery, and automotive markets.
UB29A complements the existing UB29 Linear DC Micro Welder. Beyond its improved waveform control and significantly faster rise time, UB29A features a larger current range than the legacy power supply.
The UB29A delivers an output power range of 15A to 1,500A in four control modes: current, voltage, power and V-A (voltage-current). It provides a controlled, repeatable waveform with a rise time of less than 200ms, all in a compact size and single phase input. It can be used to weld wire assemblies, sensors, connectors, squibs, catheters, orthodontic appliances, pacemakers, implantable hearing devices, and battery packs.
The improved, user-friendly design features an On/Off switch on front of the unit and a simplified rear panel for I/O connections. Additionally, the UB29A offers dual pulse schedules and side-mounted bus bars with threaded inserts for mounting weld cables.
