1.25-micron resolution linear optical encoder and linear scale have been released by Moticont. This compact linear encoder measures 114.3mm (4.5") long x 4.0mm (0.157") wide x 1.47mm (0.058") high (encoder + Flex cable) and the Flex cable is terminated by a 10-pin female connector for easy integration. This high, 1.25µm resolution, low power encoder module features TTL quadrature outputs and requires only a single +3.3VDC or +5VDC supply.
The matching linear scale supplied is 6mm (0.25") wide x 0.3mm (0.01") thick when attached to a flat surface using PSA adhesive. The standard scale length is 76.2mm (3.0") long, and other lengths are available on request.
The OEM-00125U-02 Linear Optical Encoder Module and LS-00125U-01 Linear Scale providing direction, velocity, and position to 1.25µm are for use with Moticont’s LVCM and GVCM linear voice coil motors, HVCM hollow core voice coil linear motors. Available in OEM quantities, they can also be used for in-house purpose-built assembly, sorting, measuring, and inspection equipment.
