Manufacturing has traditionally been a male-dominated industry with fewer than one third of manufacturing employees being a woman. However, the industry is at a tipping point, and its future depends on a diverse workforce. While women are still under-represented in manufacturing, that’s starting to change. Last year we held our first Women to Watch in Manufacturing roundtable, and it proved to be a great discussion with five women who are breaking barriers and loving the profession they’re in. This year, hear insights from the women who have embraced manufacturing and are eager to get the next generation of women in the door of that manufacturing facility so they, too, can be a part of what makes everything we encounter throughout our lives – from medical devices to planes, trains, and automobiles!
