The Vought F4U Corsair (top) and North American P-51D Mustang (bottom), captured at EAA AirVenture this summer. Even though the Mustang is nearer the camera and not tucked under the Corsair’s wing as it may appear, it is still noticeably smaller than its rival – a fact not always appreciated when inspecting the planes individually on the ground.
