Walter Inaugurates Int'l Campus in Canada

New Bio-Circle facility helps push the company's green agenda.

More than 300 people attended the inauguration of Walter Surface Technologies’ completed 92,000ft2 international campus in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, which recently added a Bio-Circle facility.

The Bio-Circle helps eliminate toxic solvents and furthers Walter’s green agenda, says Pierre Somers, chairman and CEO of Walter Surface Technologies Int’l.

“The new campus is a major asset for our future growth,” says Pierre Somers, chairman and CEO of Walter Surface Technologies Int’l. “Now we have the automation, the processes, and the facility to help us execute our core value of delivering products and solutions that help our customers work better.”

Officials at Walter invested more than $30 million into its LEEDS Gold-certified campus, which serves as the overall international headquarters for the Walter Co.

The new Bio-Circle complex contains increases production capabilities “10 fold,” according to the company, with automated bottling systems, larger mixing and storage tanks, and updated pumping and packaging systems.

“Today, this focus on ‘making green work’ is leading to the development of environmentally helpful initiatives, which are increasingly welcome in our indstury,” Somers says.
