Walgren Co. Announces Mexico HQ

Metal Annodizing and Plating Firm to Base Regional Headquarters in Queretaro

Walgren Co., a provider of turn-key anodizing and plating systems, has announced a new headquarters facility for the design and manufacture of metal finishing systems in Mexico. The new headquarters is in Queretaro, a manufacturing hub in the geographic heart of the country.

According to Walgren Chairman Drew Johnston, the new headquarters will support sales and service, as well as manufacturing and process development activities for the company’s growing customer base in Mexico and, eventually, Central America. “We regard this new headquarters as an important part of our commitment to serve Mexico’s fast-growing aerospace and automotive sectors,” he says. “Walgren has a well-established presence in the region,” he adds, “and the new facility will heighten our ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.”

Walgren was founded in 1955 and has installations in 26 countries. The Mexico headquarters is the company’s third; other headquarters locations are Grand Rapids, Mich., and Dongguan, China. Within Mexico, Walgren also serves clients from locations in Monterrey and Tijuana.

The company is known for its anodizing technology and for the development of efficient material handling systems for complex metal plating operations.
