Northbrook, Illinois – Titanium distributor, Vulcanium – a specialty division of United Performance Metals and a subsidiary of O’Neal Industries – and Itochu Metals Corp. have entered a long term representation agreement to service the Japanese market.
This strategic relationship will help grow Vulcanium’s presence in Japan by offering Japanese titanium consumers a key source for both titanium mill products and value-added processing opportunities. Sourcing near-net shapes without the additional costs associated with excess scrap will benefit titanium customers in both the price and speed of material acquisition.
Jerry St Clair, president of Vulcanium, shared, “We are very excited to join forces with such an esteemed company as Itochu Metals Corp. We look forward to our development of a successful titanium business in Japan.”
