Southfield, Michigan – WorkNC will host two informative Lunch-N-Learn events in January for customers in the state of Ohio.
The events, scheduled to take place on Jan. 19 in Cincinnati and Jan. 20 in Akron, will focus on the use of machine context, and will deliver a brief overview of PartXPlore viewing software.
“Come have lunch with us and receive hands on, face-to-face, interactive instruction from our engineers,” says Joshua Houston, WorkNC application engineer. “We will be presenting examples and explanations for using machine context. It will be educational, as well as a good time.”
The no-charge event, which includes lunch and requires a one-day commitment, offers instruction and demonstrations, as well as the opportunity to apply what is covered in the seminar portion of the presentation.
“It provides our customers with the opportunity to meet and interact with other programmers using WorkNC,” Houston says. “They also have access to an engineer if they have questions.”
Topics covered will include:
- The creation of a simple machine context using only an axis system
- Machine context with machine kinematics
- Positioning part and clamping data
- Setting proximity values and surface selection for use in machine limit\collision check
- The use of machine context for multiple set-ups\machines in one work-zone
- Calculating and interpreting machine collision check
- Introduction to PartXPlore viewing software
