Gardena, California – Valence Surface Technologies, an independent metal finish company focused on the aerospace and defense industry, is expanding the footprint of its Coast Plating Carson Campus. The expansion, which will see Coast grow from one building to six, will also result in more than 100 jobs being created to meet the growing demand for aerospace manufacturing in Southern California. Coast's metal processing and metal finishing services include non-destructive testing (NDT), cleaning, anodizing, chemical conversion, and paint coatings to aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel alloys.
Valence’s Coast Plating is growing from one building with 18,000ft2 of space to six buildings with more than 60,000ft2 of space. A completely new building (rendering above) comprises 12,000 of those square feet.
Valence’s expansion of the Coast Plating Campus will allow it to double the metal finishing capacity at the site. As part of the expansion, Valence is battling California’s historic drought head-on and has installed a new water regeneration system that will reduce its water usage by 80%.
Coast has been involved in virtually every major aerospace commercial, military, and space program since its inception and continues to invest in new technologies.
