U.S.-based UTC Aerospace Systems, a subsidiary of United Technologies, has been awarded a contract by Air France to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for actuation, air management, and electrical systems on its Embraer E-Jet fleets.
This three-year contract is the first for UTC Aerospace Systems with Air France for E-Jet repairs.
The agreement covers MRO services for the electric power generating system, electric power equipment, air management system, and flight systems on the Air France's ERJ-170, ERJ-175 and ERJ-190 airliners.
Work will be carried out by UTC Aerospace Systems' subsidiaries in Dijon, France, and Maastricht, the Netherlands.
As part of the agreement, UTC Aerospace Systems will maintain more than 70 E-Jet airliners for Spairliners, a joint venture between Air France and Lufthansa Technik.
