City Of Industry, California – Unical Aviation Inc. has manufacturing and global distribution rights for major F-16 assemblies, sub-assemblies, components and parts under the terms of new license agreements with United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS).
The agreements designate Unical as the sole source for UTAS-authorized components for the F-16 A/B/C/D Accessory Drive Gearbox (ADG) and F-16 A/B Cooling Turbine. The agreements apply to both U.S. government and international customers. Unical Aviation's growing portfolio of licenses also includes the F-5/T-38 Turbine Fan and the 25kVA generator for the Taiwan Indigenous Fighter.
“We are proud to support UTAS and to provide life-of-program support for all F-16 MRO and Depot facilities,” said Roger Wassmuth, vice president of Unical Aviation’s Military Division. “Building on our proven track record of reliability and responsiveness, Unical's innovative licensing and distribution agreements offer a strategic solution to OEMs and advance our vision as the premier aerospace provider to the global market.”
Wassmuth added that Unical Aviation can provide full-spectrum support for OEM legacy products and will maintain a robust inventory of components for all of its licensed systems.
