On a calm October morning in 2004, with the eyes of the world watching, test pilot Brian Binnie climbed into Burt Rutan’s SpaceShipOne. He emerged an hour and half later, a civilian astronaut, having secured the $10,000,000 Ansari X-Prize, breaking the world altitude record held by the X-15 and paving the way for the future of commercial space transportation with Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic Spaceline.
On Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 9:00 am, at the Hilton Sorrento Palace in Sorrento, Italy, Brian will discuss the personal and technical challenges of this incredible project. His narration is enhanced with many photographs and incredible video of the project and award winning flight into the black sky. He brings to life the dreams, desire, and determination to make a seemingly impossible project like SpaceShipOne a reality.
