Björn Roodzant has been appointed vice president marketing and communication at Sandvik Coromant. He takes over from Jessica Alm who recently became executive vice president and head of group communications at the Sandvik Group.
“I am confident that Björn will bring experience and new ideas into our marketing and communication. He has a strong strategic ability and will develop our activities based upon our customer’s needs” says Klas Forsström, president, Sandvik Coromant.
Previously, Björn Roodzant has worked as senior manager global web, mobility and e-marketing at Sandvik Coromant. His new role includes the overall global responsibility for marketing, internal communications, marketing communication, public relations, web, marketing relations, technical marketing, Productivity Centers and Sandvik Coromant Academy. As part of the Sandvik Coromant Management Group he is responsible for driving a global way of working within marketing and communication.
Björn Roodzant’s extensive leadership experience comes from leading Swedish and American marketing teams and most recently managing the global Sandvik Coromant web team. He also has several years of experience from coaching sports teams.

Björn Roodzant has worked for Sandvik Coromant for nine years, including three years in Sweden and six years in the United States. His work has included positions within marketing, sales planning, communications, new product introductions, E-marketing and E-commerce. He holds a Master degree in Marketing and Strategy at University of Linköping, Sweden.
