Park Electrochemical Corp., Melville, New York, has changed its name to Park Aerospace Corp. to reflect its transformation from an electronics company to an aerospace company.
Park Aerospace Technologies Corp., the company’s principal operating subsidiary in Newton, Kansas, has merged into the parent company, Park Aerospace Corp.
Brian Shore, Park’s chairman and CEO, said, “The company’s original name was Park Nameplate Inc., but the name was changed to Park Electrochemical Corp. in 1960 before the company went public.
“We will maintain our major location in Newton, Kansas, and our small office in New York, but we are now one company with those two locations.”
Park Aerospace Corp. develops and manufactures solution and hot-melt advanced composite materials used to produce composite structures for the global aerospace market, including composite Sigma Strut and Alpha Strut product lines.
Park also offers specialty ablative materials for rocket motors and nozzles and specially designed materials for radome applications, plus low-volume tooling for the aerospace industry.
