Numet Manufacturing names Tim Ulles CEO

Ulles replaces Mark Roscio, who will remain with Numet as a vice chairman and board member.


Orange, Connecticut – Numet Manufacturing Techniques, a manufacturer of precision metal components and assemblies for jet turbine engines, has hired Tim Ulles as president and CEO.
 
Ulles was previously general manager of Chromalloy Gas Turbine Corp.’s Newnan, Georgia; LaGrange, Georgia; and Dallas, Texas, operations, which repairs engine components and manufactures new components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine markets. Previously, Ulles worked at Barnes Aerospace, where in 2005 he was Employee of the Year for generating record sales and profits. He began his career in the corporate finance function at Control Data Corp., and has worked at Wang Laboratories, General DataComm Industries, and MacDermid.
 
Ulles replaces Mark Roscio, who will remain actively engaged with Numet as a vice chairman and board member. Roscio was one of the original owners of Numet who reinvested in the business when it was acquired by Kidd & Co. LLC, a private investment firm, in August 2011.

Numet is a self-release Tier 1 provider of parts and components for jet turbine engines to General Electric Aviation, Pratt & Whitney, and the U.S. Department of Defense. Additionally, Numet also services customers in the overhaul and repair market for both military and commercial aviation and ground power applications. The company currently specializes in complex turned and 5-axis milled components up to 70" in diameter and assemblies made from extreme temperature alloys such as Waspaloy, titanium, cobalt, Inconel, Rene 41, Haynes 242, and Haynes 188. Numet holds ISO-9001 Rev C, AS9100, and Nadcap certifications.
