Officials at DRS Technologies, a Finmeccanica Company, announce that the U.S. Navy has exercised a $49.9 million contract option to continue logistics support to the E-6 Take Charge and Move Out (TACAMO) and Airborne Command Post (SBCP) aircraft fleet.
Under terms of the contract option, awarded to the C3 and Aviation business unit, DRS will manage government-owned inventory and provide additional material support for E-6B aircraft. The previously awarded logistics support contract includes procurement, storage, warehouse management, and issuing/receiving of all Contractor Logistics Support managed inventory.

The majority of the work for this option will be performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla.. Work will also be executed at Travis Air Force Base, CA.; Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD; and Offutt Air Force Base, NE.
