Santa Ana, California – Mike Kartsonis, president of Dynamic Fabrication Inc. (DFI), a custom contract manufacturing company, has donated $100,000 to the National Tooling and Machining Foundation (NTMF). This generous contribution supports the National Tooling and Machining Association’s (NTMA) education teams, and assists in funding programs and scholarships for young people entering the field of precision custom manufacturing.
“This donation will serve as multiple scholarship funds for the Los Angeles area for many years,” Kartsonis said. “As a professional in the field, it’s exciting to be able to give back to an organization that is committed to the education and training of future generations in the manufacturing industry.”
The NTMF has delivered more than $1,000,000 in the past five years to fund workforce development initiatives and groups, including the National Robotics League (NRL), the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS), and NTMA-U, the association’s online education and skills-based certification program for students.
Kartsonis actively participates in industry trade shows, events and community organizations, and is a long-standing member of the NTMA Los Angeles chapter, the organization’s largest in the United States. He has played a vital role in the growth of the association on both the regional and national level, while serving as the president of NTMA Los Angeles in 1996, and serving as a trustee and member of its board of directors for more than 20 years.
Kartsonis has built a solid client roster of long-time customers, including Fortune 500 companies such as Rockwell, Lockheed Martin, and General Electric.
