Methods Machine Tools opens L.A. technology center

Anaheim, California – Methods Machine Tools Inc., a supplier of precision machine tools, automation, and accessories for more than 55 years, held a successful grand opening at their new technology center in Anaheim, Calif. on June 25 - 26, 2014. A ribbon cutting and traditional Japanese sake-barrel smashing celebration kicked off the event, which drew manufacturing professionals interested in the latest machine tool technology. 

 

The new 11,400ft², state-of-the-art Methods' facility supports operations in Southern California, replacing Methods' previous center located in Buena Park, Calif. Located at 1980 West Corporate Way in Anaheim, the new technology center features the latest Methods' machine tools and advanced automation and has an open-door policy welcoming customers for demonstrations and discussions on their applications with on-site Methods' experts.

 

“The grand opening was a success. Our latest machines and technical seminars attracted a lot of attention. The event also generated brisk machine sales,” said Steve Raucci, general mnanager for Southern California Operations at Methods Machine Tools. “The grand opening of this world-class technology center, coming on the heels of our new facility opening in the San Francisco area in May, marks an important juncture in Methods’ commitment to being a valuable engineering and support resource for West coast manufacturers,” added Fernando R. Garcia, Methods' general manager of West Coast Operations.

 

Machines on display in the new Methods Los Angeles Technology Center include Methods’ new line of YASDA precision machining centers, FANUC RoboDrill vertical machining centers & RoboCut wire EDM machines, FEELER High performance machining centers & turning centers, KIWA-Japan horizontal machining centers and Citizen Swiss turning centers.

 

In addition to live machining demonstrations, the Grand Opening also featured multiple seminars presented by industry experts on topics including: EDM Precision for Success, Programming Techniques for Aerospace Manufacturing, Cutting Tools for Aerospace Manufacturing, 5-Axis Machining with CAMplete on a FANUC RoboDrill, Aerospace & Medical Applications on Swiss Machines, and Small Tools for Aerospace & Medical Manufacturing. Visitors were also able to examine the latest tooling, workholding, software, and accessories being displayed by participating companies.
