Richmond, Canada – MacDonald, Dettwiler, and Associates Ltd. (MDA), a global communications and information company, has been awarded a five year contract valued at CA$5 million with Canada's Department of National Defence. MDA will provide support for the unmanned aerial surveillance solution announced on Oct. 29, 2013, that includes the delivery of Raven-B unmanned aerial vehicles built by AeroVironment, MDA’s full-motion video exploitation tools, training, maintenance, and support services.
The contract also includes options for incremental activities up to an additional CA$11 million.
