Bologna, Italy – Marposs S.p.A. has acquired FL Tool Holders LLC of Livonia, Michigan, a manufacturer of precision tooling and gaging products for the automotive, aerospace, marine, and off-road manufacturing industries.
FL Tool Holders custom designs and builds a broad range of standard and specialty products including tool holders of different shapes, operating systems, and locking styles; special design machine spindles; air gages, and fixtures; attribute (hard) gages and fixtures; and standard and special masters and tapered parts.
Founded in 1984, FL Tool Holders is located in a 17,000ft2 production facility equipped with an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited gage room. The ISO 9001-certified firm has complete engineering design and manufacturing capabilities to support manufacturing customers globally. Additionally, the company provides on-site training, service, and repair for its broad range of products.
Marposs president, Stefano Possati, said, “Their technical and production capabilities perfectly complement Marposs’ abilities in the areas of gaging and machine tool accessories. This acquisition gives Marposs greater opportunities to serve our customers both in North America and the rest of the world.”
