With latest manufacturing surveys indicating solid growth for Canadian and U.S. factories in spite of a turbulent economy, thousands of decision-makers from a wide cross section of industries, including industrial machinery, automotive, aerospace, engineering, mining, medical, agriculture and defence, will convene in Toronto next week for Canada’s leading manufacturing event, the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show 2011.
To be held October 17-20 at the Direct Energy Centre, the newly expanded CMTS 2011 will feature 150 new products, a 500-exhibit trade show, live equipment demonstrations, exclusive industry keynotes from business leaders and television personalities Kevin O’Leary and John McElroy, and provocative interactive panel discussions as organizers from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers underscore the importance of Canadian manufacturers to the overall health of our country’s economy.
For the first time, the comprehensive show is also offering an international component highlighting suppliers from more than 40 countries, along with a special India Pavilion where attendees can get a firsthand look at some of the latest developments in defence, heavy industry, science and technology, and renewable energy, including a preview of the highly efficient Tata Nano car from Tata Motors.
