Mitsui Seiki wants to extend our thanks and appreciation for the concerns and expression of support during this time with the earthquake that has struck Japan.
As Mitsui Seiki already announced, we have had some minor damage at our facility, however, all Mitsui Seiki employees and family members are safe and nobody was injured.
Since the power plant company decided to cut electric power off, Mitsui Seiki deciced to close our main factory on March 15 and 16, but recovered to normal operation on March 17. Ninety-five percent of employees were back to work and Mitsui Seiki almost could return back to normal operation.
Hereafter, Mitsui Seiki may be faced with irregular factory operation due to the temporally power supply cutting plan held by the power plant company. However, Mitsui Seiki plans to keep the factory operation [as] normal as possible.
Mitsui Seiki decided to operate the factory on March 19 (Saturday) and March 20 (Sunday) in lieu of the temporary factory close on last 15 and 16.
Mitsui Seiki’s employees all do the best effort to overcome this situation.
Mitsui Seiki will distribute you this type of [update on a] regular basis.
