Chicago, Illinois - The manufacturing industry is dependent on metalworking fluids to aid in extending tool life, enhancing productivity and reducing waste. Known as the “necessary evil”, understanding the use of metalworking fluids from the perspective of more than just the end-user helps all involved to gain insight into the how, where, when, what and why of this valuable resource. This presentation will take a detailed look into the perspective of the metalworking fluid manufacturer, the regulating agencies, the waste treatment facilities, and the end user. Each has a different perspective.  Understanding and appreciating each perspective will help all involved to manufacture, use and treat metalworking fluids as an asset versus a necessary evil.
