Chicago – Make plans to attend the IMTS 2014 Conferences to learn about How Lasers Can Benefit Medical Part Manufacturing.
DATE: Wednesday, September 10 from 10:00 AM - 10:55 AM ROOM: W-195
SPEAKER: Dr. Faycal Benayad-Cherif, Product Manager, FOBA Products
The use of laser technology is becoming more important for the medical device industry. Manufacturers not only have to enhance traceability in order to comply with stricter government regulations like the FDA UDI (Unique Device Identification) rule, they also have to assure quality, prevent counterfeiting and achieve their ambitious economic objectives. FOBA laser technology combined with the mark alignment and verification system IMP (Intelligent Mark Positioning) enables users to fulfill these requirements. The laser marking and engraving systems both efficiently and precisely set permanent, high-quality and easy to read identification (micro) marks medical devices or implants have to bear. The patented vision system ensures that parts are identified automatically prior to the marking and only correct marks are applied on the correct position and on the correct parts. During his presentation, Dr. Benayad-Cherif illustrates the reliable high-precision production process and explains how medical device producers can benefit from the use of laser technology.
The educational and informative conferences run Sept. 8-11, 2014 in the West Building, Level 1. To register for this or any session, visit www.imts.com/education/imtsconference.html.
