Chicago – Make plans to attend the IMTS 2014 Conferences to learn about Wastewater Recirculation Technology for Mass Finishing Equipment.
DATE: Thursday, September 11 from 2:15 PM - 3:10 PM ROOM: W-192A
SPEAKER: Ken Raby, National Sales Manager, Walther Trowal GmbH & Co. KG
The reason why I want to present this technology is because it falls into a few categories. First, it is “green” technology that recirculates the wastewater from a mass finishing or deburring operation , and it greatly reduces the wastewater that is typically sent down the drain and out to a city municipality. Second, it saves the company money by reducing down the supplies typically needed in a mass finishing department, and it saves on waste disposal costs.
This type of wastewater system could fall into a few different categories for the conference. I could see it in the cost justification category, Government Initiatives, and/or energy efficiency of plant operations, or wastewater recirculation under the category of alternative manufacturing.
I will be putting together a paper that will be geared towards cost savings and “lessons learned” that will be able to educate the reader on why this type of system can and should be integrated into a deburring department or with an individual deburring machine.
The educational and informative conferences run Sept. 8-11, 2014 in the West Building, Level 1. To register for this or any session, visit www.imts.com/education/imtsconference.html.
