It is a known fact that many solid businesses effectively weather long spiraling downward economic trends. The good years padded the coffers for the bad times. It is during these critical growth phases where cash is low or depleted and a business is faced with growth, that the relationship between Inventory, Cash and Costs becomes critical. So many businesses are traded into insolvency in a recovering economy, because they run out of cash.
