About the topic
Contemporary laser systems use picosecond (10-12) or femtosecond (10-15) lasers. One of the key components rendering such systems possible is the use of fast motion systems driven by NdFeB (neodymium/ iron/boron) permanent magnet linear motors. Such motors are capable of 20Gs to 30Gs acceleration and submicron accuracy. This presentation will give an overview of the development of NdFeB permanent magnet motors and how they rank with other types of linear motors (induction linear motors/SmCo linear motors/piezo motors)
Registration is now open, so check out the IMTS 2018 website for more information.
