Wichita, Kansas – The design and engineering expertise of Icon Polymer Group, a technology company in engineered polymer products, will see it supply a range of aerodynamic seals to Spirit AeroSystems for its work on the new Mitsubishi Regional Jet.
The new contract further demonstrates Icon Polymer Group’s rapid growth within the global aerospace sector, with the company’s innovative technology well placed to meet the stringent demands required from the next generation of passenger aircraft.
The new contract follows a series of significant orders from Spirit, including a contract to supply fire seals to the CS100 and CS300 aircraft models within the Bombardier C-Series commercial jet line-up.
Icon Polymer Group’s aerodynamic seals will now be used in the Mitsubishi Regional Jet’s pylons, being provided by Spirit AeroSystems. Each jet will seat between 70 and 90 passengers.
