Utica, Michigan – Ti-Coating has new Hyperlox PVD coating for indexable and solid carbide tooling. The Altin-based coating offers excellent machining characteristics and extends tool life for a variety of applications including turning, threading, and milling. For finishing, the wear-resistant properties of Hyperlox allow it to machine stainless steel and other materials with difficult properties. The supernitride coating also provides high oxidation resistance.
“Hyperlox is a coating that provides consistent wear resistance for stainless steel which tends to be sticky and cause edge build up,” says Keith Metzinger, sales manager for Ti-Coating. The properties of Hyperlox reduce this tendency and contribute to longer tool life and predictable performance.
