Franklin, Wisconsin – Hermle Machine’s international headquarters, located in Gosheim, Germany, welcomed more than 1,000 companies with more than 2,600 visitors during four days of exhibits at its annual April Open House just three months before the Hermle North American Open House, which will be held in Franklin, Wisconsin, July 29-30, 2015.
Industry professionals took part in guided tours of the Gosheim plant to see first-hand how Hermle machines are produced and assembled, including the C 60 U, with a total weight of over 33 tons.
Hermle machining centers, as well as the overall technology concept for milling, showed the possibilities available to customers. The newest machine model, the C 52 U MT dynamic features 5-axis simultaneous milling as well as profile turning capabilities. A demonstration machining a shrouded impeller highlighted its advantages in both technologies. The exhibit also highlighted the extensive safety engineering of the Hermle MT machine models in sensitive machining processes.
The application technology team demonstrated milling competence to the finest detail with examples including titanium aircraft components.
Attendees also visited the technology partner exhibit area, with more than 60 high tech companies educating everyone on the latest in work-holding, tooling, CAD/CAM, control and measurement technology, and featured related technical presentations.
At Hermle Machine – North America’s Open House in July, attendees will receive demonstrations and an up close look at Hermle precision machining centers.
